St Kilda Twilight Markets

Summer finally arrived in Melbourne and we’ve been greeted with gorgeous 38 degree days. One of the first summer events is the St Kilda Twilight Markets; situated 5 minutes from my flat. I bloody love where I live.

Good old Lea rallied the troops once again, but instead of the usual gang, it was a mini Uluru reunion! Justine and Julian, a German couple joined Lea, Michelle and myself. It was so nice to see everyone again.  Here we all are:

The markets were packed! The vibe was amazing; everything was buzzing, there was live music, interesting stalls and food stalls that smelled delicious.

After wondering around the stalls, we went to the best part of the markets; the food stalls, obviously. I was poor, once again, so could only spectate but I did document what everyone else ate.

First up we have Lea, who stuck to her Swiss roots and got some raclette cheese that was drizzled over a veggie plate:

Justine and Julian went for Indian, and ordered a chicken tandoori curry:

And finally we have Michelle, who was an absolute legend and got two meals because she couldn’t decide! First she had spicy slow cooked lamb with a mint yoghurt:

And second course consisted of pumpkin and onion gozleme (which she gave me some of, so I was very greatfyk):

We spent the rest of the evening catching up, reminiscing about our Uluru trip together, staying future plans and chilling in the beautiful St Kilda park:

It was a great evening and such a perfect way to break up the week!!
